Insert oven-safe meat thermometer into centre of roast avoiding fat or bone. OVEN-SEAR by placing uncovered roast in preheated 450°F (230°C) oven for 10 minutes. REDUCE heat to 275°F (140°C); cook uncovered to desired doneness, removing from oven when 5°F (3°C) below finished temperature. BEEF LIVER AND ONIONS Discard the milk and pat dry the liver on a towel. Melt 2 Tbsp of the butter in a large pot over medium-low heat. We used Inside Round for our tests but Sirloin Tip and other Round Steak would work as well. Our steaks were sliced about ¼-inch thick when purchased. Insert oven-safe meat thermometer into centre of roast avoiding fat or bone. OVEN-SEAR by placing uncovered roast in preheated 450°F (230°C) oven for 10 minutes. Heat pan well; add garlic, and other seasonings, if desired; add beef and sear on all sides quickly. Note – make sure the pan is not overloaded or else the beef will boil rather than sauté. As part of the 11th Annual International Meat Secretariat (IMS) Marketing Committee conference held in late April, thirteen contributing country members produced and presented 10-minute videos of their recent key marketing initiatives. The goal was to share learnings and generate discussion on the challenges of marketing red meat across a number of global markets.
