INJURED DOG RESCUED ON FERN CANYON TRAIL Injured Dog Rescued on Fern Canyon Trail Boulder County, Colo. – On Sunday, June 6, 2021 at approximately 5:15 p.m., the Boulder County Communications Center was notified of an injured dog on the Fern Canyon Trail. An eight year-old german shepard mix from Golden, CO sustained paw injuries while hiking with his owner on the Fern Canyon Trail. SOUTH SIDE OF HEIL VALLEY RANCH TO REMAIN CLOSED THROUGH SEPT. 30. Due to significant public safety concerns and the ongoing Cal-Wood Fire fire recovery process, the Boulder County Commissioners have approved a full closure of the Geer Canyon access at Heil Valley Ranch. This closure includes the Corral parking area, the main trailhead, the Wapiti Trail, the Lichen Loop Trail, the Overland Trail, and the Grindstone Quarry Trail. Read More →__

Boulder County Public Health amended its Face Covering Order. The amendment requires masks to continue to be worn indoors, regardless of vaccination status, for schools, childcare, healthcare settings, on public transportation (including ride shares), and congregate care facilities in Boulder County through June 10.
