Community Cycles is hosting a number of bike rodeos this year(2010), and we anticipate being asked to host more in the future. We've always borrowed our bike rodeo kit from another organization in town, but it's quite unwieldy, and not super easy to transport by bike. DES MOINES BIKE COLLECTIVE SHOP MANUAL The Collective accepts cash and checks. There is a cash machine in the skywalk across the street (visible from the shop). Record transaction in the file ‘receipts.xlsx’ (note column for number of bikes sold). If payment by check, then stamp the back of the check with the Collective’s bank stamp. BIKE COLLECTIVE NETWORK The Bike Collective Network is a hub which anyone involved with not for profit bicycle projects can use to engage with each other, to share knowledge and experiences. Through various tools and gathering opportunities we learn from one another’s mistakes and triumphs, in the hope of growing the community of bicycle collectives and empowering its organizers. > The mission of the Bike Collective Network is to improve and > encourage communication between existing and future community bike > shops. Collectively we can improve a bigger wheel as opposed to > re-inventing smaller ones. Since 2008, the _BCN_ has acted as an archive of information and public forum. A free space for people to ask questions or share what they have learned and engage with a diverse group of people with the common experience of working in community bike projects. The Bike Collectives Wiki was created to help bike collectives collaborate and share ideas. Whether you are an advocate, mechanic, or just someone who likes to ride; anyone can freely edit the content of the site. A history of all changes ensures that nothing is lost.Visit the Wiki
The ThinkTank is an electronic mailing list where anyone involved with the coordination of bicycle organizations can seek advice, share their wisdom, and make important announcements. Topics may range from how to disassemble rusty bikes to how to apply for non-profit status to conference and career postings.Join the ThinkTank

The annual conference Bike!Bike! is hosted in a different city each year; regional Bike!Bike!s can take place at any time, in anylocation.
