Breaking Light During a residency at BMoCA in Boulder, Colorado 2015, Berndnaut teamed up with scientist Steve Tomczyk from NCAR to build a prototype prism that would allow him to break light at a large scale in order to impose a natural appearance onto its surrounding asCONDITIONER

Nimbus Atlas 2015 – 2016. A series of slow-motion videos depicting self-made clouds emerging and decomposing in a void. The footage was captured with a high speed camera resulting in a slowed down visualisation on how clouds evolve, change shape and reflect light. Breaking Light During a residency at BMoCA in Boulder, Colorado 2015, Berndnaut teamed up with scientist Steve Tomczyk from NCAR to build a prototype prism that would allow him to break light at a large scale in order to impose a natural appearance onto its surrounding as NATURE’S TRESPASSING In 2012 Dutch artist Berndnaut Smilde followed in their illustrious footsteps and created Nimbus II: a hovering indoor cloud in the empty setting of a sixteenth-century chapel in Hoorn, a small town in Holland. Breaking Light During a residency at BMoCA in Boulder, Colorado 2015, Berndnaut teamed up with scientist Steve Tomczyk from NCAR to build a prototype prism that would allow him to break light at a large scale in order to impose a natural appearance onto its surrounding as BORED ART – BERNDNAUT bored art – Berndnaut. NATURE’S TRESPASSING In 2012 Dutch artist Berndnaut Smilde followed in their illustrious footsteps and created Nimbus II: a hovering indoor cloud in the empty setting of a sixteenth-century chapel in Hoorn, a small town in Holland. For that he needed a smoke-machine; a highly increased level of humidity in the space and some dramatic lighting. ASKEATON – BERNDNAUT Askeaton – Berndnaut. Until Askeaton has Street View. Askeaton is one of Ireland’s oldest communities. In the 1840, many residents immigrated to Wisconsin, US and set up a new town Askeaton.
