After doing a lot of product research, I settled on using gel stain to refinish this wood front door. Restaining a door with gel stain has a lot of benefits – one of which is that you don’t have to remove the door from the hinges, strip the door prior to restaining, or do any extensive prep work. HOW TO SOFTEN A HARD PAINT BRUSH WITHOUT CHEMICALS A guy I used to work with had a large pot for boiling his paint brushes after years of use he put them into a pot and boiled them for awhile and he claimed it made them soft again.Worth a try .If my brush is to the point its so hard I just buy a new one because that means it has painted a lot of surfaces.I prefer Purdy or Wooster brand they last awhile. 2 1/2 in angle brush is the best.🙂 EASY DIY SLATE COASTERS I’ve been working hard to wrap up my playroom to office makeover, so I haven’t had a lot of time to put toward other projects.But that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been squeezing in some fun crafts when I can!
