The bargain vintage receivers are Onkyo TX-2500 (not MKII) and TX-4500 (not MKII) are fully discrete. But, in the case of the Onkyo their op-amp sounds as good as discrete- go figure. These Onkyo look great and produces either 27 watts or 60 watts per channel. Onkyo MKII models are 40 watts & 65 watts per channel.VINTAGE ASYLUM
But just like the Fisher 400 500-C and 800, 800-B and 800-C receivers, they all put 420 volts on the plates of their tubes. And all the transformers including the ones that came from the Ico ST-40, all puts 5500 ohms on the tubes. The transformers are capable of handling 420 volts in to a 5500 ohm load.
