INTRODUCING THE ASHM PUBLIC HEALTH VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE ASHM is pleased to announce the launch of the ASHM Public Health Virtual Experience Program. Over the past few months, ASHM has worked closely with Forage, an open access online education platform, to create our very own virtual experience program. COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE ASHM Communities of Practice are a way for groups to develop and share knowledge. They provide a safe environment for sharing and solving practice issues, support collaboration, and promote evidence-based best practice. In 2019, ASHM launched two Communities of Practice to support practitioners who care for people living with hepatitis B andC.
HEPATITIS B TRAINING, INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ASHM ASHM has taken a leadership role in advancing hepatitis B policy in Australia. Particularly advocating for broadened prescribing rights for practitioners working in community settings and more recently publishing a resource developed to support clinicians who have patients with CHB applying for a permanent VISA.ASHM also oversees the National Hepatitis B Testing Policy, a practical guide that HEPATITIS C TRAINING, INFORMATION AND RESOURCES ASHM ASHM is proud to work in collaboration with sector partners, including community groups, towards eliminating hepatitis C in Australia. We do this through collaborating on the Viral Hepatitis Mapping Report, contributing to research studies, jointly developing clinical education programs and resources, and working in partnership on policy, recommendations and guideline development.
