Inspired by the minimalist work of Agnes Martin and Donald Judd, Pard Morrison has described his work, which he terms “hybrids,” as “an exploration of a hypothetical conversation between Donald JuddELEMORE MORGAN, JR.
Elemore Morgan, Jr. is acknowledged as the leading contemporary Louisiana landscape painter. The coastal prairie landscape of the rice growing region of southwest Louisiana with its terraced fields, towering thunderheads, solitary oaks, mills and barns is the source ofhis work.
