THE GENERALIFE
The Generalife became a leisure place for the kings of Granada when they wanted to get away from the official affairs of the palace. It was built in the 13th century and it was redecorated by the king Abu I-Walid Isma'il (1313-1324), as it is explained by an inscription thatdates from 1319.
THE ALCAZABA
The Alcazaba. Information and photos.This fortress is one of the oldest part of the Alhambra. The current complex was built by Mohammed I. His son Mohammed II also had his residence in the Alcazaba, until the palaces were finished. From then on, the Alcazaba was only used as a fortress for military purposes.PATIO OF THE LIONS

GARDEN OF THE PARTAL The Garden of the Partal (Jardines del Partal) covers all the area between the exit of the Rauda and the esplanade where the Ladies Tower (Torre de las Damas) stands. The garden that surrounded the royal palaces was in the same place and it was also laid out gradually. The Emperor's Chambers would later occupy that same location. THE MEXUAR - NASRID PALACES - ALHAMBRADEGRANADA.ORG According to the quotations by the poet Ibn Zamrak, it could be said that it belonged to the original Nasrid palaces. The layout and connections of the Mexuar have changed a lot as a result of the improvements carried out by the Catholics and of the great damagescaused
