AN INTRODUCTION TO DEPLETION-MODE MOSFETS An introduction to Depletion-mode MOSFETs By Linden Harrison Since the mid-nineteen seventies the “enhancement-mode” MOSFET has been the subject of almost continuous global research, development, and refinement by both the CMOS 5 VOLT/ 3 VOLT ANALOG SWITCH APPLICATIONS APPLICATION NOTE AN4200 The ALD4211/ALD4212/ALD4213 quad CMOS analog switches are designed for ultra low charge injection applica-tions using a single 3V to 12V power source. ULTRA LOW POWER CRYSTAL OSCILLATORS 2005 Advanced Linear Devices, Inc. 4 of 8 CL1 and CL2 are utilized to provide 180 o phase lag for the feedback network. If CL 1 and CL2 values are too low, the loop gain at high frequency is increased, which in turn increases the probability of spurious oscillation. ALD ELECTRICALLY PROGRAMMABLE ANALOG DEVICE EPAD TECHNOLOGY Hence, the EPAD (Electrically Programmable Analog Device) Technology was developed specifically by Advanced Linear Devices to address this need. EPAD is a new class of analog. device, like the operational amplifier and the A/D converter. It is a unique CMOS-based device which, when used in combination with an inexpensive programmer, allows ALD SILICON GATE CMOS TECHNOLOGY Silicon Gate CMOS Linear Technology. Historically, MOS technology has been the domain of the digital designer. Analog designers might use MOS transistors for the input stage of a high input impedance operational amplifier or use discrete MOS transistors in a linear circuit, but bipolar technology ruled the linear integrated circuitworld.
