PRTG NOTIFICATIONS FOR CISCO WEBEX TEAMS Things slowed down for me quite a bit over the Christmas break so I spent some time working on a rather large project involving PowerShell. It was good to get some more practice scripting and I certainly learnt a lot (and invented some new swear words as well!). FUN WITH DNS CACHING ON A VMWARE VCSA To fix it up I had to SSH onto the vCSA as root and run the following to clear the DNS cache: systemctl restart dnsmasq. STREAMING DVB-T OVER AN IP NETWORK USING MUMUDVB ON A Go to the View menu and select Playlist. In the left hand pane of the playlist look for Network streams (SAP). MONITORING VIRTUAL SERVERS ON A CITRIX NETSCALER USING I recently had some drama with a few NetScaler Virtual Servers that weren’t being monitored. I made some modifications to a script I had written previously (which was inspired by Markus Kraus from My Cloud-(R)evolution) and created a Custom sensor for PRTG.The script queries the powerful Citrix NITRO API on the NetScaler to retrieve a JSON response containing the state of the Virtual Servers. STREAMING DVB-T OVER AN IP NETWORK USING MUMUDVB ON A Go to the View menu and select Playlist. In the left hand pane of the playlist look for Network streams (SAP). Double click this and a few seconds later you should see all of the channels that your MuMuDVB server is streaming. Double click one of the channels to begin playingit.

The first step is to create a User Account in AD that Graylog will use to connect and perform authentication queries. For this example I have created an account called svc.GraylogLDAP. FUN WITH DNS CACHING ON A VMWARE VCSA To fix it up I had to SSH onto the vCSA as root and run the following to clear the DNS cache: systemctl restart dnsmasq. This didn’t have any ill effects on the infrastructure so safe to do anytime. You can check that it has restarted successfully by running the following: systemctl status dnsmasq. and then a ping to the host will let you see AUTOSTARTING AN APPLICATION IN UNITY ON UBUNTU MATE In the home directory of the user who you is logging into the GUI, go to the .config/autostart directory. Assuming you have already set your application to autostart, open the .desktop file (in my case it was remmina.desktop) and add the following lines: X-MATE-Autostart-enabled=true.
