T he Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek has designed the furniture for the children’s workshop: known for his functional eco-furniture, he demonstrates how respect for materials and functional design are values he shares with Horta. We wish to draw the children’s attention to ideas of craft and the bespoke in a world in which the origins of ready-made objects are most often unknown.HORTAMUSEUM

The Friends of the Horta Museum The Friends of the Horta Museum is an association set up in 1982 with the aim of expanding the museum’s collections (of furniture, archives, and books) and of acquiring tools meant for scientific use.HORTAMUSEUM
Welcome. The Horta Museum is still open with the usual opening hours. Reservation is required. Horta Museum. The Horta Museum is located in the private house and studio of Victor Horta (1861-1947). Built between 1898 and 1901 at 23-25, rue Américaine in Saint-Gilles, Brussels, the two buildings are typical of Art Nouveau at its height.HORTAMUSEUM
