THREE MARVELOUS MARQUES: MERCURY, DUESENBERG, PIERCE-ARROW The 1920s proved to be record-breaking years for Pierce-Arrow with a series of straight-eight models that set record sales for the company in 1929. Falling in the middle of summer, July often feels like the calm before the storm. DRIVE HISTORY CONFERENCE A CELEBRATION OF AUTOMOTIVE HERITAGE AND CULTURE. The annual Drive History Conference is one of the most important initiatives at the Historic Vehicle Association (HVA). It is our way of bringing together a diverse audience to not only share in the history and preservation of our national automotive heritage, but to exchange ideas and learn from one another. As much as we care about sharing automotive heritage, we care more deeply about the well-being of our speakers, registrants, sponsors, vendors, and team members. That said, due to the escalating health concerns related to the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), we have decided to cancel the 2020 Drive History Conference scheduled to take place in Allentown, PA, from April 23 – 25, 2020. We would be delighted if you would consider joining us at next year’s Drive History conference which will take place April 22 –24, 2021.
If you have any questions regarding refunds or next year’s Drive History Conference, please email Info@HistoricVehicle.orgABOUT THE HVA
Over the last 125 years the adoption of the automobile has had a profound impact on the development of virtually every aspect of modern culture. The cars, motorcycles and trucks that remain chronicle our past and help us understand who we are, where we have been and where we may be headed. As a society, we have an obligation to preserve these historic vehicles and related artifacts as a lasting record of our progress. Through the collective efforts of enthusiasts, specialists and professionals, the HVA aims to help ensure that our automotive heritage is more broadly appreciated and carefully preserved for future generations. With over 495,000 members, the HVA is the world’s largest historic vehicle owners’ organization. The HVA was founded in 2009 through the philanthropic support of Hagerty and became the designated North American representative of FIVA (Fédération International des Véhicules Anciens) , the international federation of historic vehicle organizations.Learn More
THE NATIONAL HISTORIC VEHICLE REGISTER The Historic Vehicle Association has developed a National HistoricVehicle Register
to
carefully and accurately document America’s most historically significant automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and commercial vehicles. In March 2013, the HVA entered into a collaboration with the U.S. Department of the Interior to explore how vehicles important in American and automotive history could be effectively documented and recognized. This project is the first of its type to create a permanent archive of significant historic automobiles within the Library of Congress.About the Register
