These re-designed rose beds feature a broad range of antique roses: found garden roses, polyanthas, Chinas, Bourbons, teas, climbers, and roses which have received the coveted ‘Earth-kind’designation.

FITNESS | HERMANN PARK CONSERVANCY Spanning 290 feet, this contemporary suspension bridge connects the banks of Brays Bayou in the Bayou Parkland area of Hermann Park. Named for a Conservancy founder, the bridge is an important link that connects the Park to nearby neighborhoods and to a 35-mile trail system. CALENDAR OF EVENTS
Hermann Park Conservancy hosts several events throughout the year to benefit the Park. The proceeds from these events help fund general operations as well as special projects. MCGOVERN CENTENNIAL GARDENS McGovern Centennial Gardens Hours: 9 am to 7 pm. 1500 Hermann Drive, Houston, TX 77004. The McGovern Centennial Gardens hours change seasonally. The Gardens stay open later during the spring and summer and close earlier during the shorter winter months. The Gardens are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas day.MCWILLIAMS DOG PARK
The McWilliams Dog Park is in the homestretch of fundraising and we are calling on the community to help get us over the finish line! Any donations made through June 30, 2020 up to $100,000 will be matched by long-time Conservancy supporters and eternal dog-lovers Winifred Scheuer and Kevin Bonebrake, and Ann Kennedy and Geoffrey Walker. 17TH ANNUAL RUN IN THE PARK (VIRTUAL) Sponsored by Williams and supported by our community partners, Hermann Park Conservancy’s 17th Annual Run in the Park is taking place virtually from Saturday, September 26 to Saturday, October 3. That means you can run, or walk, a 5K or 10K between those dates in Hermann Park or from the comfort of your own area, while still supporting the FITNESS | HERMANN PARK CONSERVANCY Spanning 290 feet, this contemporary suspension bridge connects the banks of Brays Bayou in the Bayou Parkland area of Hermann Park. Named for a Conservancy founder, the bridge is an important link that connects the Park to nearby neighborhoods and to a 35-mile trail system. Cyclists and pedestrians enjoy the convenience and safety itoffers.
HISTORIC CLUBHOUSE
Upon dedication, the historic clubhouse was renamed to Lott Hall at Hermann Park, in honor of long-time donor and Conservancy board member, Tommy W. Lott. The Cherie Flores Garden Pavilion serves as the main entryway to the Gardens and offers a stunning view of a 30-foot garden mount across the expansive Centennial Green. TREES | HERMANN PARK CONSERVANCY Live Oaks ( Quercus virginiana) are medium to large evergreen oak trees with horizontal branching, dark brown bark, and 1” acorns. Live Oaks shed their old foliage in late winter. This is the most populous tree in the Park with a count of approximately 1,800 trees. Live Oaks are found growing along the curb lines and jogging trails inthe Park.

WALKS | HERMANN PARK CONSERVANCY One of the most popular features in Hermann Park, the Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Reflection Pool measures 740 feet long and 80 feet wide. Sculpted stone edges create an attractive border for the pool and a black bottom offers maximum reflection. Both sides are lined with beautiful mature live oak trees.PRIVATE EVENTS
Zoom. This authentic log house is supported by the San Jacinto Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. The house and grounds are a memorial to the pioneer women and men of Houston.
