The Solid Waste Division provides the County with a Transfer Station for waste disposal, tire disposal, construction debris, and wood waste.. The Convenience Center provides recycling of household materials (paper, plastic, aluminum, glass), certain electronics, mercury products, and white goods (used appliances and metals). TRANSFER STATION (WASTE DISPOSAL) Henderson County Solid Waste Division retains the right to turn away users without covered or strapped loads. Bulky waste consisting of large items such as large appliances, furniture, large auto parts, trees and other oversized waste must be secured on vehicle with rope or tie-down cords. Aluminum and steel cans (rinsed, dry, plastic tops/lids off); Antifreeze; Batteries (rechargeable and non-rechargeable; tape over positive terminals of household batteries); Cardboard (flattened, packing material removed); Cooking oil; Food waste; Gable top/carton containers (rinsed, dry, plastic tops/lids on) 42-29. RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TWO RURAL (R2R) Purpose. The purpose of Residential District Two Rural (R2R) is to foster orderly growth where the principal use of land is residential. The intent of this district is to allow for low to medium density residential development and rural commercial and light industrial development consistent with the recommendations of the Comprehensive

Plan.
