The canoe is part of the team and it carries all paddlers safely onto the water and home again. We expect all paddlers to treat the canoes with respect and never take them for granted or treat them discourteously. Respect every canoe as a family member. Paddle for Kids 2020 has been postponed until April 10, 2021, more information to come. This decision was bitter sweet, as we had so much in store for you all. We are following the current guidelines of the CDC and health care officials. We want to protect our fellow paddlers and especially the kids of Rady Children’s Hospital. KAPOLIOKA'EHUKAI OUTRIGGER CANOE CLUB Event postponed until April, 21 2021 Aloha kakou, Mahalo nui loa (Thank you very much) for your support for Paddle for Kids benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. As you may be aware of the severity and concern that COVID-19 . Continued. HISTORY – KAPOLIOKA'EHUKAI OUTRIGGER CANOE CLUB They sold Kainani to San Diego Outrigger Canoe Club in 2010, who renamed her “Kai,” in keeping with their club tradition of having canoes with 3 letter names. Kapolioka’ehukai acquired the canoe in October of 2012 and we restored her original name during her canoe blessing. Kainani is known to be narrow and sleek with a lighter than ABOUT – KAPOLIOKA'EHUKAI OUTRIGGER CANOE CLUB About. The unique name of our club, Kapolioka’ehukai, is Hawaiian for, “Heart of the Sea”. Our club is proudly named after the late Rell Kapolioka’ehukai Sunn.
