The month of Ramadhan is not like any other month; its purpose is to rid man of those habits which he has accumulated throughout the rest of the year. It is a month that prepares man for the remaining eleven months by teaching him discipline and self control. Thus, Allah has made some acts which are beloved to man, likeMAKING ASSUMPTIONS
However, it is a lesson that many of us seem to overlook and disregard in the many activities and chores of our life. We learn from this incident that a person should not be hasty in making assumptions and judging a situation or an individual from what seems to be the apparent. It is essential that a Muslim assumes the best of his fellowbeing

PREPARING FOR RAMADAN March 10, 2020 Ahmed12 Comments
When we know we are to attend a wedding, we begin to plan and prepare from days and even weeks in advance. We pay much attention to detail so that we arrive to the function on time, are dressed up smartly with clean/ new shoes, have organised a place to stay, eat carefully so as not to ruin our clothing and so on. In a similar way we prepare and plan for other important events, functions, interviews etc. However, when it comes to approaching our Islamic duties/ obligations we do so little in advance, especially for Ramadan. For some reason we feel we can flick a switch and become great pious personalities overnight. In fact, while this may work short term, in the long term you will more likely ‘burn out’ and return to your former self or in a worse condition. Is it not true afterall that in the middle of the month Ramadan the Masjid halls during taraweeh are at half capacity to what they were in the first few days?? Therefore it is much better we prepare and plan for our deeni activity, much like we do for the dunya ones and inshallah in this manner we can make the most of the blessed month of Ramadan and remain consistent upon the a’maal we adopt. Anyway, with Ramadan due to start soon I thought it would be good to make a list of things in preparation for Ramadan. Please leave your comments and suggestions as well, via the comments below. * Increase in recitation of the Quraan. If possible, complete a minimum of 1 part to daily so as to make 1 whole complete recital of the Holy Quran during Ramadan. * Try and perform 4 rakah (units) of tahajjud before partaking inSuhoor.
* Learn a, or many prophetic duas in Arabic. * As much as one can keep Allah in your heart by doing Dhikr eg: La ilaaha illallah, Allahu-akbar, Subhan-Allah, Alhumdulillah etc. * Devoting more sincerity and concentration into our existing dailyprayers.
* Try and utilise the month to give up smoking. * For the more foul mouthed amongst us, try to refrain from swearing the whole month. Friends can help here by lightly hitting or gently reminding his/ her friend each time they swear that they shouldn’t do it. (please note, I take no responsibility for any limbs that may be broken from the above suggestion!) A small request I make is that if a brother or sister becomes more religious simply for the month of Ramadan, then rather than shooting our mouth off, saying he/ she is a hypocrite and its only for Ramadan etc, why don’t we give gentle words of encouragement so they might continue their virtuousness even after the month of Ramadan. Why should we be so mean to taunt them about what we THINK is only temporary on their part? If we were to step back a moment and realise that this is the last Ramadan we will see in our lifetime, how would we spend it? How many Muslims do you know of who aren’t around this year to see Ramadan? Death we know can come to us at any time, yet we still remain so ignorant of the blessing of the time now given to us to be utilised byAllah the Almighty.
I pray Allah gives, first of all me, and all Muslims the ability to utilise the month of Ramadan and safeguard ourselves from the punishment hereafter, Ameen._by Brother Ahmed_

ISLAMIC GUIDELINES ON PANDEMICS & EPIDEMICSFebruary 28, 2020
Ahmed Leave a comment _10 Islamic Guidelines on Pandemics and Epidemics by Mufti Faraz Adam__1. Quarantine_
The Prophet encouraged quarantine: “Do not put a sick one (animal) with a healthy one (animal)”(Sahih al-Bukhari)
“If you hear that a plague has hit a land, do not go to it; if it breaks out in a land where you are present, do not leave” (Bukhari) _2. Hygiene & Disinfecting_ The Prophetic practice which Muslims are recommended to follow are full of hygienic practices: a. Washing hands upon awakening b. Performing ablution and washing five times a day for prayers. c. Washing before/after eating d. covering mouth when sneezing _3. Impermissibility to consume rodents, reptiles, insects and other potential carriers of disease_ According to the Hanafi school, it is not permissible to consume rodents, reptiles, insects and other such creatures as they are from the Khaba’ith (filthy creatures) _4. Permissibility to cull infected creatures_ It is permissible to cull infected creatures and animals to stop the spread of the outbreak. _5. Not sharing essential and hygiene items_ Ibn Hajar advises against sharing items that are commonly used during an outbreak to prevent the spread of the outbreak. (Fath al-Bari) _6. Burying deceased immediately_ Islam encourages immediate burial. One of the wisdoms of this is to contain any disease in the carrier from being passed on. _7. Researching for potential vaccines_ The Prophet told us: “There is a remedy for every malady, and when the remedy is applied to the disease it is cured with the permission of Allah, the Exalted and Glorious.” (Sahih Muslim)* Correct belief
We believe in what the Prophet told us: “Diseases are not intrinsically contagious.” (Sahih al-Bukhari) One only becomes infected by the permission of Allah. However, all precaution is encouraged due to knowing that Allah permits transfer through contact and His practice is to transfer through contacting infected people generally. _9. Cure is from Allah_ One’s belief and focus should solely be on Allah as the ProphetIbrahim taught us:
“It is He has created me, and it is He Who guides me; And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink. And when I am ill, it is He who cures me. (Qur’an 26:78-82)_10. Constant dua_
Make constant due to Allah for protection from this pandemic, as He alone is the ultimate saviour and refuge. AddThis Sharing Buttons Share to FacebookFacebookShare to TwitterTwitterShare to PrintPrintShare to EmailEmailShare to MoreAddThis3 HealthDeath
FLIGHT JANAZAH
February 27, 2020 Amatullah1 Comment
ASSALAAM WAALAYKUM WAREHMATULLAH WABARKAATUHU Welcome aboard Fly Air Janazah When we are leaving this world for the next one, it shall be like a trip to another country. Where details of that country won’t be found in glamorous travel brochures but in the Holy Qura’an and the Hadiths. Where our plane won’t be Indian Air Lines, British Airways, Gulf Air or Emirates but Air Janazah. Where our luggage won’t be the allowed 30 Kgs but our deeds no matter how heavy they weigh. You don’t pay for excess luggage. They are carried free of charge, with your Creator’s compliment. Where our dress won’t be a Pierre Cardin suit or the like but the white cotton shroud. Where our perfume won’t be Channel, Paco Rabane, but the camphor andattar.
Where our passports won’t be Indian, British, French or American butAl Islam.
Where our visa won’t be the 6 months leave to stay or else but the “La Illaha Illallah”. Where the airhostess won’t be a gorgeous female but Isra’iil and its like. Where the in-flight services won’t be 1st class or economy but a piece of beautifully scented or foul smelling cloth. Where our place of destination won’t be Heathrow Terminal 1 or Jeddah International Terminal but the last Terminal Graveyard. Where our waiting lounge won’t be nice carpeted and air-conditioned rooms but the 6 feet deep gloomy Qabar. Where the Immigration Officer won’t be His Majesty’s officers but Munkar and Nakeer. They only check out whether you deserve the place you yearn to go. Where there is no need for Customs Officers or detectors. Where the transit airport will be Al Barzakh. Where our final place of destination will be either the Garden under which rivers flow or the Hellfire. This trip does not come with a price tag. It is free of charge, So your savings would not come handy. This flight can never be hijacked so do not worry about terrorists. Food won’t be served on this flight so do not worry about your allergies or whether the food is Halal. Do not worry about legroom; you won’t need it, as our legs will become things of the past. Do not worry about delays. This flight is always punctual. It arrives and leaves on time. Do not worry about the in-flight entertainment program because you would have lost all your sense of joy. Do not worry about booking this trip, it has already been booked (return) the day you became a foetus in yourmother’s womb.
Ah! At last good news! Do not worry about who will be sitting next to you. You will have the luxury of being the only passenger. So enjoy it while you can. If only you can! One small snag though, this trip comes with no warning. Are you prepared…..you better be ! Please spread the truth and Insha-Allah our Muslim brothers & sisters will understand and practice the guiding principles, whatever way they can afford to uphold our believe of our religion Islam in this world andin the hereafter.

SHAYKH AHMAD ALI
February 16, 2020 admin43 Comments
Born in Azad Kashmir in 1971 Shaykh Ahmad Ali came to the U.K. at the tender age of 6. Coming from a moderately practicing family, the odds were always stacked against him, but even as a young boy Shaykh displayed a yearning for deen. His stubborn determination resulted in him completing the memorisation of the Holy Quran at the age of 14 under the supervision and guidance of his teachers at the local mosque, Masjid Quba. Having completed this great feat, the thirst for furthering his Islamic knowledge could no longer be quenched in the confines of the local mosque. Searching for more in 1986 Shaykh enrolled at Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya, Bury, the main nucleus of Islamic study in Europe at thetime.
During his time in Darul Uloom, Shaykh excelled in his studies undertaking an intensive study of many Islamic sciences including Arabic, Quranic Tafseer, Hadeeth, Fiqh and Aqeedah under the supervision of Hadhrat Yusuf Motala Sahib. After graduating from Darul Uloom Al Arabiya Al Islamiya in 1993 realising that the there was much more to be gained from the beauty of the Quran and Hadeeth, his insatiable hunger for knowledge still not satisfied, Shaykh left the confined borders of the United Kingdom and headed towards the Middle East, Madina. Here he studied at Al Jamiiyahal Islamiyah.
Following this 1n 1994 Shaykh moved on to the world famous Azhar University in Egypt, specialising in Hadeeth. Having journeyed through many lands in order to substantiate this zeal for knowledge, Shaykh returned to the U.K. in 1996. A chapter closed. Now were the beginnings of many new chapters. In 1999 he was appointed second Imam at his local mosque, Masjid Bilal. From here Shaykh devoted almost all of his time and efforts to the work of dawah, initially to his immediate community, and then further afield nationally and internationally. In the field of Dawah for Shaykh Ahmad Ali there have been no boundaries. His desire to build on his dawah work has always been foremost and was the main tool that instigated the establishing of Al Ma’hadul Islami (The Islamic Academy) in Bradford, England. This institution to this day has been providing Islamic counselling, education and guidance to the youth and elders alike. A combination of his vast knowledge and an unreal talent of capturing the hearts of listeners with his effervescent words took Shaykh Ahmad Ali across four continents to convey the teachings of Allah (swt) and his Beloved Prophet (saw). Apart from his international work touring various countries delivering dynamic lectures and speeches, by the grace of the Almighty, Shaykh continued to work from his base Al Ma’hadul Islami to establish further institutes that would inshallah benefit the community and ummah on a whole. 2003 saw the beginnings of a Muslim Secondary school for girls, The Fountain where students benefit from the alimiya classes as well as secular studies. Throwing aside any barriers that were placed before him, Shaykh’s determination to inculcate deen in our young then led him to purchase and renovate a building in order to set up Crystal Gardens Primary School in 2005, catering for Muslim children from the ages of 5 to 11. Shaykh begins to work selflessly and has only just completed the renovation of his new school building purchased in 2007. Eternal Light Secondary School for Boys currently has 40 boys on the register and will insha’Allah expand gradually. Boys undertake the hifz (memorization of the Holy Quran and Alim classes as well as theirsecular education.
Over the years Shaykh Ahmad Ali has worked very closely with the charity organization, Lifecare U.K. Products of his work with the charity have been helping to build an orphanage, hospital and school, for the under privileged, close to his birth town in Azad Kashmir. Shaykh Ahmad Ali’s listed speeches found on audio tapes and c.d,s currently number in the region of 80. He has also authored many books; Major Signs of The Day of Judgement, The Prophet Jesus, Imam Bukhari, The Wisdom of Imam Abu Hanifa,’ of the Pious to list just a few. A selection of Shaykh Ahmad Ali’s beneficial lectures and lessons will be available for downloading in the near future(website currently under construction) from the www.almahad.co.uk website. Some other talks can be heard online from the Shaykh Ahmed Ali youtube channel.
No doubt Shaykh Ahmad Ali will, Allah willing, continue to strive towards his purpose in life, a mission to serve his Creator. May Allah (swt) always grant him and those associated with him the ability to do this selflessly. The Ummah can only benefit from the work of suchauspicious people.
May Allah (swt) grant Shaykh a long prosperous life so that we may continue to benefit from his lessons and knowledge, and may Allah (swt) accept all his efforts and make them a means of salvation for him and his loved ones. Ameen. AddThis Sharing Buttons Share to FacebookFacebookShare to TwitterTwitterShare to PrintPrintShare to EmailEmailShare to MoreAddThis48 ahmad aliBios
