Prof. Stefan Schaltegger is founder and head of the Centre for Sustainability Management (CSM) and professor of Sustainability Management at Leuphana University Lüneburg. In 2003, he founded the world-wide first MBA in Sustainability Management with 650 students and alumni until 2020. RITTEC UMWELTTECHNIK GMBH RITTEC Umwelttechnik GmbH has, in cooperation with several partners, developed a technology for recovering monomers from PET waste. The recycling process offers the possibility to realise a complete high-quality raw material cycle. In 2020, RITTEC was honoured with the Next Economy Award for RWTH AACHEN UNIVERSITY A smart donation led to the establishment of RWTH Aachen University in the 19th century. During a visit of the Prussian Prince Frederick William (later Emperor Frederick William III) in 1858, the district president handed the prince 5,000 talers that had been collected by the Aachen Münchener insurance company and asked him to donate the money to charitable causes. DR RAVINDRA RATTAN (FIJI) Dr Ravindra RATTAN (Fiji) Ravindra is a social environmental scientist and has dedicated his academic career to the study of climate change and natural disasters in the Asia-Pacific region and to the understanding of coping strategies.
