I think this was around my birthday in 1986. I wore this outfit A LOT: Guess jeans (the tapered ones with the zippers at the hem) Esprit top. REVIEW | EVERLANE WIDE LEG CROPPED PANTS the jesse kamm pants were cut very slim at the waist/hip/butt but i could at least get them up over my thighs, which is more than i can say for nili lotan, for example. so if you have thighs, but long legs, and a bum, but not such wide hips, they may work for you? but honestly, i think the everlane pants are a great alternative to the jesse kamm ones. they’re worth trying anyway.GRECHEN'S CLOSET

I think this was around my birthday in 1986. I wore this outfit A LOT: Guess jeans (the tapered ones with the zippers at the hem) Esprit top. Bass Weejuns (the most perfect classic loafer IMO) I’m perplexed by the white stockings/socks – I guess they must have been a thing. We were in Atlanta over the weekendTHE MINIMAL CLOSET
The capsule wardrobe idea is EVERYWHERE. I think they’ve gotten a bit out of hand, honestly. I never really thought much about capsule wardrobes before they started popping up here and there, and when I did, it was in terms of packing for trips, for seasons, or a specific life event (like moving to work or study abroad for several months) where you don’t want to take your entire wardrobe A BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO PURE BARRE (first, start with cute workout pants 😉 ). I know most of you don’t come here for the Pure Barre posts, but it’s a HUGE part of my life, so bear with me for a sec. TEN MORE RESPONSIBLE ALTERNATIVES TO MADEWELL’S TRANSPORT TOTE When I wrote a post almost two years ago on made-in-the-US alternatives to the Madewell Transport Tote there weren’t as many great options available as there are today, and I’ve also received so many amazing reader suggestions it was beyond time for an update and some additions.. My original goal with the post was to provide more sustainable* alternatives to the super-popular Madewell WHY I STOPPED BUYING EVERLANE after so many years When I revisited my Wardrobe Audit a couple weeks ago and did another closet purge last week, I decided to get rid of almost all my Everlane. I had a lot of Everlane (27 pieces). I have 13 pieces left (with some on the way out) andWHY JAMES PERSE?
Made in the US. Almost everything by James Perse is made in the US unless it has some crepe/silk in it or cashmere (sometimes fabric is imported and the product is finished in the US). I appreciate this, and it’s a big reason why I love the brand; I’m not sure if I would love it as much if they didn’t produce in the US. ELIZABETH SUZANN WARM WEATHER COLLECTION the only thing i can imagine splurging on for now is the clyde jumpsuit in linen. it reminds me of a black crane jumpsuit i scored on ebay which is my favorite item of clothing (but that one has a wider more flowy leg). if i was getting married again i would wear the mara jumpsuit in silk – so upset this didn’t exist back in the day!GRECHEN'S CLOSET

Outfit (s) : Moving. Hello – thank you so much for checking in; it’s been too long and I miss you! We went to Atlanta (Marietta exactly) to close on our new house on 3/22 and just got back to Texas this past Sunday. We spent some time there with family and to take care of some things at the new house (which we are sooo excitedabout!).
