Packages are an essential part of Greater Giving Online. Packages are sold to your Supporters, so in order for a successful auction to take place, you need to have Packages!

TEXTING BIDDERS

Click Online Bidding in the Main Menu and select Online Bidding Dashboard. Click Text under the Send Message area. Compose your texts in the box provided. Use the tag to include the Bidder’s personalized bidding URL. Limited to 120 characters per text message. Select the recipients you wish to send the text to (defaults to All

Bidders).

Over 800,000 golf tournaments are held in the U.S. each year. While the average golf event only raises $5000 with 72 players, the big events can raise up to $300,000. How do they do it? Nonprofits were presented with a choice: no events at all, or figure out how to hold one virtually so guests could participate from any device, anywhere they were. It was a huge challenge CREATING A PROJECT WEBSITE We do recommend our Project Website Webinar, as well as the various articles below. Create the Website: Click Manage Project in the Main Menu and select Manage Project Website. Click Create Website. You will be taken to the Manage Project Website screen. This page contains all the major aspects needed to fully build out your Project Website. CREATING OPEN DOORS: SPONSORS WHO ASK TO CONTRIBUTE One of the most difficult tasks in fundraising is also the most important: asking for money. Some fundraisers find discussing money to be uncomfortable or impolite. It’s been especially awkward in the past year, as the pandemic triggered more and more nonprofits to reach out to donors for help, and those donors began to feel fatigued. What if you could skip that step, and instead create an PROJECT WEBSITE GENERAL SETTINGS The Project Website General Settings is the defaults for your Project Website. In this area we can set up banner images, adjust colors, control receipt settings, and if necessary delete the entire Project Website. See below for more information on accessing this area. Click Manage Project in the Main Menu and select Manage Project Website. RECONCILING STATEMENTS Click the Advanced Search link. Using the Payment Type menu, select “Auctionpay Swipe”. Enter the same date range that is in the Payment Date Range (bottom left corner) of your statement and click the Search button. Select all payment lines that appear in the list. Use the Select All box in the toolbar to select all Payments on the

page.

HOW TO: WRITE COMPELLING AUCTION ITEM DESCRIPTIONS Design your bid sheets to play off the format of your auction item descriptions. Use the same bold font for the auction item title. Include a few bullet points with crucial information (some people will only read the bid sheets). Display the auction item number prominently. Add 12-15 lines for bids—not too many, not too few.
