In 2017, Dr. Maureen Weiss — professor at the University of Minnesota and panelist at the Girls on the Run 25th Birthday virtual event — and her colleagues completed a longitudinal study of the Girls on the Run curriculum and program delivery in promoting positive youth development among 8- to 12-year-old girls. GAMMA PHI BETA: THE PERFECT PARTNERSHIP Gamma Phi Beta partnered with Girls on the Run in 2012, so it’s serendipitous that she joined the organization only three years before it became her future sorority’s philanthropic partner. During the first night of recruitment, Grace felt pulled to Gamma Phi Beta. In 2017, Dr. Maureen Weiss — professor at the University of Minnesota and panelist at the Girls on the Run 25th Birthday virtual event — and her colleagues completed a longitudinal study of the Girls on the Run curriculum and program delivery in promoting positive youth development among 8- to 12-year-old girls. GAMMA PHI BETA: THE PERFECT PARTNERSHIP Gamma Phi Beta partnered with Girls on the Run in 2012, so it’s serendipitous that she joined the organization only three years before it became her future sorority’s philanthropic partner.
