At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, approximately 145 full-time undergraduate students work as co-managers at seven different student-run cooperatives across campus. LEGAL ENTITY OPTIONS FOR WORKER COOPERATIVES Depending on the laws of the state, or states, where the cooperative is operating, more or fewer options may be available. This section discusses two major types of legal entity options that are available to worker co-ops: the Limited Liability Company (LLC) and the Worker Cooperative Corporation. TINY HOMES, CO-OPS, AND LAND TRUSTS That, topped off with stagnant wages, has resulted in a lack of housing many people can afford either to rent or buy. The average wage for a non-managerial employee at the beginning of 1979 was $22.51 per hour in 2018 dollars. In March 2018, it was $22.44 per hour,essentially flat.

At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, approximately 145 full-time undergraduate students work as co-managers at seven different student-run cooperatives across campus. LEGAL ENTITY OPTIONS FOR WORKER COOPERATIVES Depending on the laws of the state, or states, where the cooperative is operating, more or fewer options may be available. This section discusses two major types of legal entity options that are available to worker co-ops: the Limited Liability Company (LLC) and the Worker Cooperative Corporation. TINY HOMES, CO-OPS, AND LAND TRUSTS That, topped off with stagnant wages, has resulted in a lack of housing many people can afford either to rent or buy. The average wage for a non-managerial employee at the beginning of 1979 was $22.51 per hour in 2018 dollars. In March 2018, it was $22.44 per hour,essentially flat.

Even in the most expensive cities, they increasingly support affordable rentals in multifamily buildings, said Tom Angotti, a professor emeritus of urban planning at Hunter College. Mr. Angotti has long advocated for the model in New York City, where he heads the board of a large multifamily site at Cooper Square.
