The Mene-Tekel (or Menetekel Deck or The Self-Shifting Pack) is a mechanical deck credited to Burling Hull (1910).. A card is selected and placed back in the center of the deck. Instantly it jumps to the top of the deck. It is based on an old principle that can be found in The Discoverie of Witchcraft and Clever and Pleasant Inventions (both from 1584), and which is commonly known as the DOUG CONN - MAGICPEDIA - GENII In 1999 Paul Cummins and his FASDIU press released the first Hardcover Magic Book that focused on Doug’s Original Close-up Creations: “Tricks of My Trade – The Magic of Doug Conn” the book was well received and quickly sold old. Paul Cummins has just released a 2nd printing of the book. In 2013 Built to Last – By Doug Conn wasreleased.
