* In Veneto Region, media reports, as of 8 June, several flooded houses and blocked roads across Verona Province, as well as flooded houses in Venice City, and blocked roads in Treviso Province due to alandslide.

USA - Tropical Storm CRISTOBAL update (ECHO 08 Jun 2020) 08 Jun 2020 13:08 UTC. * Tropical Storm CRISTOBAL made landfall in Louisiana on 7 June, and moved northwards, passing over New Orleans City. On 8 June at 3.00 UTC, its centre was located 30 km north of New Orleans, with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h. * Power outages were reported across New Orleans area, several roads and houses were flooded along Louisiana coast. Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for areas of Terrebonne, Plaquemines, and Lafourche Parishes. An emergency state was declared in Louisiana on 7June.
* Over the next 24 hours, CRISTOBAL is expected to downgrade to a tropical depression, as it moves north, over eastern Louisiana and western Mississippi States, with maximum sustained wind between 46-56km/h.
* A tropical storm warning is in effect for coastal Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and western Florida, and storm surge warnings have been issued for coastal areas from Mississippi River Delta (Louisiana) to Ocean Springs City (Mississippi). * On 8-9 June, heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast over south-eastern States.(hide)

Italy - Severe weather (ECHO 08 Jun 2020) 08 Jun 2020 13:08 UTC. * Severe weather, including heavy rain, strong wind, hailstorms and storm surge, has been affecting north Italy (in particular Lombardy, Veneto, Piedmont, Liguria, and Friuli Venezia Giulia Regions) over the last 48 hours, triggering floods and landslides that have resulted indamage.
* In Veneto Region, media reports, as of 8 June, several flooded houses and blocked roads across Verona Province, as well as flooded houses in Venice City, and blocked roads in Treviso Province due to alandslide.
* In Lombardy Region, 5 evacuated families, damaged houses and blocked roads were also reported across Varese Province, as well as blocked roads in Bergamo Province due to landslides. * In the next 24 hours, heavy rain, strong wind, thunderstorms, and hailstorms will affect again Northern and Central Italy and some areas of southern Italy (Campania). * The Italian Civil Protection has issued, as of 7 June, an orange alert for hydrogeological risk over Lombardy and Friuli Venezia Giuliavalid for 8 June.

Flooding was reported also in parts of Pekalongan City, affecting at least 100 people. * Flooding, caused by heavy rain and river overflow, occurred in Sorong City (West Papua Provnce), damaging approximately 100 houses and affecting 500 people. * Orange alerts for strong wind and thunderstorms have been issued for Central Java, and West Papua on 8-9 June.
