Best tour to the carvens, not crowded when I was there. The tour guide was nice and informative. History of the cave is... very fascinating. And the drive there is a lot less traffic and morescenery.read more

This place is literally in the middle of nowhere in the desert -- tumbleweeds, sagebrush, junked out cars, and a very... lonely Historic Route 66. I was skeptical at first, and thought my wife was playing tricks on me. I was pleasantly surprised. There is a full service restaurant and gift shop here, but the attraction is the underground caverns. The geology of the caverns is interesting as well as its history as a nuclear bunker. They still have rations in this place from the 1960s nuke scares and civil defense preparedness. The cavern is available for weddings and as an overnight hotel room, and there is also a restaurant...you can have lunch in the cavern as well. The food is decent and the waitstaff are friendly. Was definitely a unique experience. I recommend it.read moreJessica May

The Standard Tour is a great tour to take! Dino was our tour guide, and he made some awesome jokes while we were there.... I will say, there is a bit of climbing on the standard tour, so if you have asthma or knee problems, please be advised this tour may not be for you. Dino was very considerate, and made sure each member of our group was okay, and keeping up. The natural formations down there were so amazing!readmore

January is a slower tourist time and our visit was so enjoyable. The staff are so personable, friendly and helpful. I... felt that they tried to notice what you were interested in with your visit and give information about it. I can honestly say that I had the best Patty Melt sandwich I've ever had at their Western Style with mining theme restaurant. My husband had a delicious and very large hamburger with onion rings on it. His fries were plentiful and thick cut fried to perfection. My coleslaw tasted yummy like my homemade. The cave tour is very well done with humor added in. This is a dry cave so no slick paths. Temperature in cave was 56 degrees with very low humidity. Handrails and lighting were abundant. Artifacts found in cave are on surface level. Gift shop was nice. There's a RV park that we liked and will use another year. The Radiator Springs entrance to the parking lot of the motel is a terrific theme using the movie Cars as it's model. Play and picnic areas are abundant. Overall it was a clean and fun experience that will bring us back for camping and hiking.readmore

This place was well worth the stop. You're already on old Rte 66, which is a sight filled travel route. The gas... station, inn, restaurant, & cavern is all sorta rolled into one big experience. Prices seemed reasonable, and the staff is helpful. The tour guides for the caverns are knowledgeable. The restaurant has excellent food at "fast food" prices. When you stop in; look around, ask questions, they are proud of their destination & are full of information. This location is best suited to those who are taking a road trip & seeing the sights along the way. If you're simply travelling by car & are in a hurry, you will not enjoy this place as much. If you're not into local history or memorabilia, you may not enjoy this stop either. The whole site & experience is continuously molding & upgrading. But, they still keep the small town, informal feel. Not a commercialized, overcrowded destination. Thank you to all the staff & management. I greatly enjoyed my visit!read more Next ReviewsFacebook __
