She is a local GB group leader on the Isle of Wight (very South of England) and a member of the England & Wales Network Executive. Betty has two grown-up daughters who are also leaders in GB and is married to Colin – anavid
2021 THEME: FRUITFUL & OVERFLOWING: BE FAITHFUL Our Prayer Resource is based on GB International’s 2021 theme: ‘Fruitful and Overflowing. Be Faithful’. 2020 has been a year like no other. As I look out across the world, I have been reflecting back on GB in a year dominated by the effects of Covid-19. The way amazing GB Leaders have been role models demonstrating Christ’s love, kindness, joy, patience and also creativity, resilience and courage. This month our Focus is ‘Sharing Goodness’ and alongside this how we share the ‘Good News’. WORSHIP FOR THEME OF EXPECTANCY Worship for Theme of Expectancy Scriptures reflecting the theme of Expectation. Ephesians 3v.20-21 ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Having started her journey in the Girls’ Brigade at a tender age of 5 in a small town called Chingola in Zambia, Ruth has not looked back since then, rising through the ranks of GB and holding various leadership roles including that of National, Africa Fellowship and International president portfolios.RESOURCES ARCHIVE
Don’t be discouraged. Despite all of the times God has shown up in our lives, we still become so easily discouraged. I feel a bit like the Israelites who, after being freed from slavery and the awful regime of the Pharaoh, stand in the desert and doubt that God will provide them with food. PEOPLE AND LEADERSHIP People and Leadership . There are over 15,000 thousand women involved in the mission work of GB around the world. Mostly they are unpaidvolunteers.

2020 has been a year like no other. As I look out across the world, I have been reflecting back on GB in a year dominated by the effects of Covid-19. The way amazing GB Leaders have been role models demonstrating Christ’s love, kindness, joy, patience and also creativity, resilience and courage. This month our Focus is ‘Sharing Goodness’ and alongside this how we share the ‘Good News’. WORSHIP FOR THEME OF EXPECTANCY Worship for Theme of Expectancy Scriptures reflecting the theme of Expectation.
