CHANGING CALIPER WITHOUT HAVING TO BLEED BRAKES Hook up the new one and open the bleeder. Then bring the brake pedal back up to the very top. This will allow fluid to flow into the caliper. Give it ten minutes or so and keep the brake reservoir filled up with fluid. When you get a good steady flow of brake fluid out of the bleeder, lock it down. Done. PRIME THE PUMP AFTER RUNNING WINDSHIELD WASHER DRY If you have run your windshield washer with the reservoir dry, and refill it but it won’t dispense the good stuff even though the pump motor is audible, then you need to prime the pump. Do this by pulling loose (at the first connection at the back edge of the hood) the black rubber washer hose coming up from the wheel well area near thefirewall.
