Begin your visit at The Lodge Forest Visitor Centre near Aberfoyle, which has easy trails, a wildlife hide, information, gifts and a café with one of the best views in Scotland. Follow the Three Lochs Forest Drive to explore the heart of the forest without having to walk far or head to tranquil Loch Ard for easyfamily cycling.
FEARNOCH - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND A great tour of tranquil Fearnoch Forest, ‘the place abounding in alders’, which can be found along the sparkling River Luachragan. Wide, firm gravel surface throughout. Includes some steep slopes and a wide bridge. This trail's name, Tri Drochaidean, means 'three bridges'in Gaelic.
TENTSMUIR - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND Tools and a fire pit from a Stone Age hunters’ camp have been found near Morton Lochs. In the second world war, Tentsmuir was part of a long line of defences along Scotland’s east coast. Polish troops who were based here built hundreds of concrete blocks as an anti-tank barrier. Once at the sea’s edge, now many of them are buried in the CARRICK FOREST DRIVE Facilities & access. CLOSED: As of 2 November 2020 the Forest Drive is closed to motor vehicles for the season. Tay Forest Park. A wonderfully varied patchwork of forests across the most scenic parts of Highland Perthshire, featuring some of the country’s best loved viewpoints and tallest trees. Discover legends about demons and dragons, saints and queens along woodland trails FOGGIETON - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND Foggieton is a place to look for forest berries and listen to chattering birds. Its Doric name means ‘mossy farm’ and old farm walls still stand amongst the trees. It offers a peaceful alternative to the more popular Countesswells wood round the corner. TENTSMUIR - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND Tools and a fire pit from a Stone Age hunters’ camp have been found near Morton Lochs. In the second world war, Tentsmuir was part of a long line of defences along Scotland’s east coast. Polish troops who were based here built hundreds of concrete blocks as an anti-tank barrier. Once at the sea’s edge, now many of them are buried in the FEARNOCH - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND A great tour of tranquil Fearnoch Forest, ‘the place abounding in alders’, which can be found along the sparkling River Luachragan. Wide, firm gravel surface throughout. Includes some steep slopes and a wide bridge. This trail's name, Tri Drochaidean, means 'three bridges'in Gaelic.
RAIDERS’ ROAD FOREST DRIVE It's a 10 mile two-way forest drive, which is open to vehicles between April and October and for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders year-round. There is a small fee of £2, payable in coins. There are various places to stop along Raiders' Road. Head for Otter Pool car park, about half way along, for the perfect riverside picnic spot withplenty

Wide, firm gravel surface throughout. Includes some steep slopes and a wide bridge. This trail's name, Tri Drochaidean, means 'three bridges'in Gaelic.
RAIDERS’ ROAD FOREST DRIVE It's a 10 mile two-way forest drive, which is open to vehicles between April and October and for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders year-round. There is a small fee of £2, payable in coins. There are various places to stop along Raiders' Road. Head for Otter Pool car park, about half way along, for the perfect riverside picnic spot withplenty

Cuningar Loop is an exciting woodland park on the banks of the River Clyde. Right on the edge of the River Clyde, beneath the impressive Erskine Bridge, Boden Boo looks across to the craggy ridge of the Kilpatrick Braes. From the centre of Drymen, turn onto Old Gartmore Road (between The Clachan Inn and the Peleton bike shop) and head north for 1 ½ miles. Sallochy Campsite is situated on the Eastern shores of Loch Lomond and offers stunning views across the loch towards the Arrochar Alps. The campsite has basic facilities to give you aROGIE FALLS
Drop down through the woods to the viewpoint over the dramatic Falls of Rogie. Watch for salmon leaping on their way up the Black Water. Wide, firm and smooth gravel path. Includes a long steep slope. ½ miles / 0.8 km. Allow. ½ hour. More information. The shortest route to the waterfalls and the elegant suspension bridge which crosses the THREE LOCHS FOREST DRIVE Three Lochs Forest Drive is open seven days a week, 9am - 4pm. It is possible to walk or cycle the drive at any time of year. There are car parks, trails, toilets and picnic spots along the way. Toilets with accessible facilities can be found at Loch Drunkie car park. A small charge for staying the night will apply at some of our participating car parks, where parking meters are already in place. This will be no more than £6. TENTSMUIR - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND Tools and a fire pit from a Stone Age hunters’ camp have been found near Morton Lochs. In the second world war, Tentsmuir was part of a long line of defences along Scotland’s east coast. Polish troops who were based here built hundreds of concrete blocks as an anti-tank barrier. Argyll Forest Park. Argyll Forest Park is a land of craggy peaks and hidden glens, peaceful sea lochs and rushing rivers. Established in 1935, it’s Britain’s oldest Forest Park – and some folk say it’s the best! The park stretches from the Holy Loch, an inlet of the Firth of Clyde, to the jagged peaks of the Arrochar Alps. FISHING - FORESTRY AND LAND SCOTLAND Galloway boasts some stunning locations for keen fishers to enjoy the calm waters. Kirroughtree, Glentrool and Clatteringshaws Visitor Centres are all excellent places to visit before you take to the lochs.. Fishing permits. As a rough guide, weekly permits to fish selected lochs (except Loch Dee and Loch Bradan) cost £35, while annual permits to fish all waters except Loch Dee and Loch MEET THE BEAVERS OF KNAPDALE Meet the beavers of Knapdale. In 2009, the area around Knapdale forest was chosen for a very special project. The plan was to reintroduce a beaver population into the wild in Scotland, and scientifically monitor their impact on the environment. Thus far, it has been a huge success, providing huge amounts of data about these industriouscreatures.
