Volunteer shifts are approximately 7 hours long. A volunteer wristband works as your pass to the festival area. As a volunteer you get a Flow Festival t-shirt, a warm meal on the days of your volunteer shifts, an afterparty after the festival and of course a fun and educational experience. The special birthday celebrations kicked off with an opening night on the previous Wednesday of the festival week, starring The Knife and their Shaking the Habitual Show , and another Swedish duo,

2006 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 The old railway warehouse, Flow’s very first festival site in downtown Helsinki, had made way to the new Helsinki Music Centre, which meant that Flow had to find a new home. After carefully considering several options, the organisers decided to split the festival between two central locations: the courtyard of Kaikukatu in the Kallio district would host the daytime outdoor program, and in 2010 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 In 2010, Flow spanned across four days. The festival kicked off on August the 11th with The Chemical Brothers, LCD Soundsystem and Kap Kap. The festival weekend itself started on Friday the 13th and lasted until Sunday night. The event was part of the Helsinki Festival program. Visitor numbers reached yet again new heights: the festival hosted 50 000 visitors over the weekend. 2005 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 After the successful first year, Nuspirit Helsinki Collective decided to proceed in event production in the following year. The core idea was the same: offer quality soul, jazz, folk and current club music in a unique and interesting urban setting. Flow05 took place over two days, at the railway warehouse in the heart of Helsinki, on the 19th and 20th of August 2005. 2011 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 The nearly sold-out Flow Festival 2011 gathered 46 500 visitors over the weekend. The three-day tickets had sold out in record time: by mid-summer. The popularity of the new Baltic Sea ticket type was a happy surprise for the organisers. The special birthday celebrations kicked off with an opening night on the previous Wednesday of the festival week, starring The Knife and their Shaking the Habitual Show , and another Swedish duo,

2006 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 The old railway warehouse, Flow’s very first festival site in downtown Helsinki, had made way to the new Helsinki Music Centre, which meant that Flow had to find a new home. After carefully considering several options, the organisers decided to split the festival between two central locations: the courtyard of Kaikukatu in the Kallio district would host the daytime outdoor program, and in 2010 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 In 2010, Flow spanned across four days. The festival kicked off on August the 11th with The Chemical Brothers, LCD Soundsystem and Kap Kap. The festival weekend itself started on Friday the 13th and lasted until Sunday night. The event was part of the Helsinki Festival program. Visitor numbers reached yet again new heights: the festival hosted 50 000 visitors over the weekend. 2005 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 After the successful first year, Nuspirit Helsinki Collective decided to proceed in event production in the following year. The core idea was the same: offer quality soul, jazz, folk and current club music in a unique and interesting urban setting. Flow05 took place over two days, at the railway warehouse in the heart of Helsinki, on the 19th and 20th of August 2005. 2011 | FLOW FESTIVAL 12.-14.8.-2022 The nearly sold-out Flow Festival 2011 gathered 46 500 visitors over the weekend. The three-day tickets had sold out in record time: by mid-summer. The popularity of the new Baltic Sea ticket type was a happy surprise for the organisers. The Baltic Sea ticket included a fixed €2 donation to protect the Baltic Sea, as part of WWF’s
