To celebrate the role the humble cup of tea plays in supporting our nation’s firefighters, we're bringing people together for a brew with those they care most about. On Tuesday 4 May, in line with International Firefighters Day, we’re launching Brew With a Crew inpartnership
THE MENTAL BENEFITS OF EXERCISE Yes they contribute to our fitness, strength and stamina among many other things, but they also have an extremely positive effect on our mental health as well. Because when you exercise, your body releases endorphins, a feel-good hormone that makes a hugely positive impact on your overall sense of wellbeing. MARINE COURT, OUR SEASIDE CENTRE IN WEST SUSSEX Situated in the quiet seaside town of Littlehampton on the West Sussex coast, Marine Court is a short stroll from from a pebble beach and picturesque harbour. JUBILEE HOUSE, OUR CENTRE IN THE LAKE DISTRICT Located in the foothills of the Lake District, views don’t come much more spectacular than those you’ll find at Jubilee House. Our centre in Cumbria boasts ten acres of grounds, and sits alongside the River Eamont, not far from the picturesque town of Penrith. THE FIRE FIGHTERS CHARITY Sean: “I don’t know how we’d have survived without the Charity’s help”. When Sean Michael was forced to resign from the job he loved as a firefighter due to illness, he struggled to cope amid Covid-19. Whether it's assisting with your physical or mental health, supporting your social wellbeing, helping you staying socially connected or signposting you to wellbeing resources information to keep you healthy, here's how we can help you lead a long, happy retirement. RECYCLE YOUR CLOTHING Donate your old clothes. Our recycling partners manage our recycling initiative across the UK, with the following donations coming straight to the Charity from each of these sites: • Clothes banks on fire stations: £120 per tonne. • Clothes banks on other community sites: 50 per tonne. • Clothes bags for school collections: £50 pertonne.
