We will make sure that your information and/or photos will be added to the database as soon as possible. Indeed, our database is updated daily, so we encourage you to check our database regularly for updates.TO FIND A SOLDIER
With more than 28,000 soldiers having already been added to our database, we have attempted to make it easier to find a particular soldier. You can use the search form atop of every page or use our cemetery listings. The website is devided in seven sections: one section for each of the cemeteries. To go to a section, click on the name of the Cemetery in the menu. You will be directed to a list of names of soldiers who have been either buried in or are memorialized that particular cemetery and have already been added to our database. For more information about a soldier, click on his name and then you will be directed to his personal memorial page. There is a seperate section named "Isolated Graves," which has information about U.S. WWII soldiers who have been buried in local cemeteries in the countries that our database covers, namely Belgium, France, Luxembourg, and theNetherlands.
FIELDS OF HONOR FOUNDATION This website is a project of the Dutch non-profit _Fields of Honor Foundation_. This foundation has set as its goal to honor American World War II servicemen who have fought and died for the freedom of others and who have been buried in overseas American War Cemeteries. We hope to achieve this goal by doing research to these men and women so that we can give their names a 'face' through projects like this database and _The Faces of Margraten_. It is important to know that we as foundation do not maintain any of the "Adopt-A-Grave" programs. As a group of adopters, we are occupied with doing research to soldiers who gave their lives for freedom, hoping to honor them in this way. If you are particularly looking for the Foundation Adoption Graves American Cemetery Margraten, which maintains the "Adopt-A-Grave" program for the American War Cemetery Margraten, please click here . Through that foundation you will be able to adopt a grave on the Margraten Cemetery or learn whether a particular grave on that cemetery has been adopted. For more information about the "Adopt-A-Grave" programs for the American Cemeteries Henri-Chapelle and Ardennes, please visit the website of the American Overseas Memorial Day Association . The Adopt-A-Grave program for the American War Cemetery Epinal is maintained by the US Memory Est Grande France . In case of the Lorraine Cemetery, the program is maintained by the Association France - Etas-Unis Lorraine. They can be reached by email.CONTACT
