Bargain Shop toy drive

The Bargain Shop Fort Frances store manager Dawn Gray, left, and
keyholder Cassidy Jolicoeur show off some of the toys collected as
part of their annual toy drive to support the Salvation Army in town.
The drive runs until December 5 and is collecting monetary donations
as well, and Gray said that they're more than halfway to their $7,000
goal.

Out of the Cold opens doors

The doors are open and renovations are underway at the Fort Frances
Out of the Cold shelter, now in its permanent home in the former
Apostolic Way Church. The facility is open nightly for residents who
need a safeand warm place to spend the night. The facility is also
being renovated to house offices and treatment centre.

BARGAIN SHOP TOY DRIVE IN THE HOME STRETCH

The Bargain Shop is halfway through its annual toy drive to support
charities in the community, and is excited by the community’s show
of support so far.
The toy drive began on Nov. 14. The shop will be collecting monetary
donations, as well as toy donations until Dec. 5. So far, they have
raised $3,792 and hope to reach their goal of $7,000 by Dec. 5.

CHAMBER OF COMMERCE COOKING UP SHOP LOCAL POKER DERBY
Staff
The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce is looking to tag local
businesses into a fun and festive way to help the public shop local
during this holiday season.
According to the Chamber, they are organizing a Holiday Shopping Poker
Derby with participating member businesses that will give shoppers in
Fort Frances an opportunity to win prizes while they complete their
holiday purchases.
