INTERVIEWSJUNE
Sunday Funnies. A reminder that it's a new year, new challenges, new projects, and hopefully fewer failures and more successes! I have not been as attentive to this blog as I have been in the past, and I plan to re-evaluate whether or not I will continue with it. My early tutorials remain very popular, and that's why I hesitate. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: TIPS AND TUTORIALS I still find each day too short for all the thoughts I want to think, all the walks I want to take, all the books I want to read, and all the friends I want to see. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: WREATHS, WREATHS, AND MORE WREATHS Here's a few new wreaths just born in the last month. These two are now listed in my Etsy shop: Sage Green Pinecone Wreath. Robin's Egg Blue Pinecone Wreath. I created this Fall wreath for my sister's apartment door at her assisted living facility. It's a ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: NEW (OLD) TINS Daher Vintage 60s Decorative Tin, Made in England. This tin is an Easter-themed tin. It's covered all over with a design consisting of vines, florals, and colored Easter eggs. The best part is that it includes a music box that plays the classic song "Easter Parade." Verycute!
ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: THE ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY EASIEST Step 1: Scrunch. Step 2: Tie. Step 3: Fluff. See? Easy-peasy!! I used about a 15" long piece of ribbon and tied it with wire. Then it was just a question of pulling and shaping the wire to form the flower. I got a little carried away, trying it out with some of the other ribbons. This red rose is from a wired Satin Polyester ribbon. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: PINE CONE WREATHS After you've reviewed this tutorial, you might want to see some of my new 2015 wreaths here. I have been making pine cone wreaths for awhole lot of years.
ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: THE BENEFICIARY BOOK So back in 2007-08 I purchased a product called The Beneficiary Book. What a brilliant idea! The PDF file is the most complete document you could have that gathers in one place everything that you and your heirs would need. It’s divided by sections with pages to type into or print and fill in by hand for you and every member of your family ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: FLOATING "BOOK" SHELF TUTORIAL Take two large L-brackets and, using a very strong glue (not positive but I think I used wood glue), glue one side of the brackets to the inside back cover of the book. Clamp and let dry thoroughly. Screw the other side of the bracket into the wall. Paint the part of the bracket that is visible the same color as the wall. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: MY NEW SHOP AND A TUTORIAL My New Shop and a Tutorial. I mentioned earlier that I am in the process of splitting up my two shops. I now have anotherbrightidea AND. morebrightideas . I suppose they're not such brilliant names, but I wanted the two shops to have some relationship with each other so hopefully it helps people to remember them. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: FRIENDS WITH PINECONE CRAFTS It wasn't until I zoomed in on the photo that I realized those are pine cones! Kathy explained that the pine cones are about 9-10 inches tall. She painted them green, added rice lights, garland, and beads. For the "gifts" in front Kathy covered small blocks ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEATIPS AND TUTORIALSABOUT MEFEATURED ARTISTINTERVIEWSJUNE

She painted them green, added rice lights, garland, and beads. For the "gifts" in front Kathy covered small blocks ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: RUSTIC FALL BANNER TUTORIAL I started with scraps of fall fabrics and layered two colors back to back, top stitched them on all sides, and trimmed with pinking shears so they'll fray naturally. I then turned down the top to create a pocket for the twine hanger strip. Some of the silk leaves were a little too bright and a little too "fake" so I toned them down alittle
ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: FALL RUSTIC BANNER TUTORIAL Scrapbooking paper in shades of tan, brown, rust, cut into pennant triangles. Quilt fabric in fall colors, left over from a lap quilt my niece created for me. A long fabric strip originally trimmed from the quilt edge. Glue gun, drill, eye screws,Walnut Ink Antiquing Solution. I started by punching two holes at the top of each triangle. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS FOR THE COOK Dumpling - 6" diameter circle. Pierogi - 5" x 4.25" oval. Potsticker - 4.25" square. Ravioli - 3" square. Dumpling. After stitching on a loop for hanging, I took a running stitch by hand around the edge of the fabric. I added a ball of polyfil inside and pulled the thread tight, gathering and shaping the ornament as ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: FRIENDS WITH PINECONE CRAFTS It wasn't until I zoomed in on the photo that I realized those are pine cones! Although we have managed to escape many of the extreme snow and other weird weather episodes, we have had quite a few foggy mornings. When that happens I ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: PAINTING UPHOLSTERED CHAIRS Water. 1 Spray bottle for water. 1 paint brush. The paint color is a soft, light sage. For the first coat, shown here, I mixed 1 part latex paint, 1 part textile medium and then one-half part water, creating a very watered down mixture. Then, spritzing water first, I ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: NEW HOLIDAY WREATHS 22" Gold with Purple and Magenta. Here's a sweet little grapevine wreath. 6" Two Cherubs. And here's another grapevine wreath. I'm particularly proud of this; I made the wreath form with bittersweet vines on my patio! 24" White Grapevine with Red Trim. This somewhat more traditional wreath has already been sold to a friend of mine. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: MEMORIES OF THEIR SERVICE WWII was a horrible war, and although my uncles bore life-long scars - physical and psychological - they all survived, came home, lived theirlives,
ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: IF IT WERE UP TO YOU which would you choose? It's no secret that my Etsy sales - and the sales of a lot of other artists - have been in the toilet very slo ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: NOVEMBER 2011 Feel free to borrow it for your grace prayer tomorrow if you like. And accept my sincere wishes to you and yours for a loving, happy, grateful Thanksgiving. Come, our thankful families, come. Offer grace for the bounty of goodness. Raise the song of harvest home, the glass of good cheer, the heart overflowing with joy. ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEATIPS AND TUTORIALSABOUT MEFEATURED ARTISTINTERVIEWSJUNE

ANOTHER BRIGHT IDEA: HOW DID THESE KIDS GROW UP SO FAST? Give me a can of spray paint and I'm a happy girl! I already had the pots and just spray painted them; we bought the sweet potato vine. My nephew is a fantastic photographer (intimidates me) so that was thetheme for the day.

My Dad was in the Army in New York at the time, so they wrote increasingly romantic letters toeach other.
