The Fayette County Board of Commissioners meeting will take place on

Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at 140 Stonewall Avenue West,

Public Meeting Room, Fayetteville, GA 30214.

The meeting room will be open to the public, but in an abundance of

caution concerning the COVID-19 (coronavirus), prior to entry of the

Public Meeting Room, a representative with the Department of Health

will be on-site to take temperatures. If deemed to have an elevated

temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, visitors will not be allowed

to enter the building.

The meeting will be livestreamed and the call-in number 770-305-5277

is provided for those who would like to make public comment on any of

the items during the Public Hearing portion of the meeting.

REOPENS: MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23 AT 7:30 AM

FAYETTE COUNTY, GEORGIA – NOVEMBER 12, 2020 – Effective Friday,

November 20, 2020 – Saturday, November 21, 2020, all operations at

the Fayette County Transfer Station including trash, recycling,

vegetative debris, and mulch loading will be closed while repairs and

improvements are made to the facility. All operations of the Transfer

Station will reopen on Monday, November 23, 2020. Please contact

Fayette County at 770-320-6010 or solidwaste@fayettecountyga.gov for

additional information.

    <p>Due to minimal enrollment, the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency is discontinuing the use of the <strong>CodeRED</strong> Mass Notification system. However, it's important for all citizens to maintain the ability to receive warnings through multiple means. All citizens should obtain and use an NOAA Weather Radio at home, as well as any other means of receiving alerts possible, including smartphone apps, television, radio, etc. to maintain awareness of hazards that may arise.
