OUR STORY
* Welcome to Taylor, MI, the capital of the Downriver Detroit area and the "Center of Opportunity." Explore Taylor is the City's newest website where we hope to help connect residents of the community with local businesses, educational institutions, organizations, andentertainment.
We house a complete cross-section of available housing, from new, high-end subdivisions and golf course living, to starter homes in beautiful, affordable safe neighborhoods. A bustling community of over 60,000 residents, we are perfectly located, just minutes away from important freeways and main arteries, Detroit Metropolitan Airport, Downtown Detroit and even Ontario, Canada. Taylor is a business hub that includes cutting-edge corporations like FORD MOTOR COMPANY, BEAUMONT HEALTHCARE, ATLAS OIL and THE OAKWOOD GROUP. Recent economic upswings have created great "place making" opportunities throughout our wonderful community, paced by the "Eureka Way!" retail and entertainment corridor, one of Michigan's most sought-after investment addresses. The corridor is home to one of the Detroit area's finest suburban malls, SOUTHLAND CENTER, along with a new, high-tech CINEMARK SOUTHLAND CENTER AND XD, new restaurants and retailers. The all-new TRADER'S POINTE is well underway, anchored by a high-profile MENARDS. It will anchor the 80-plus-acre site, where a BJ'S WHOLESALE WAREHOUSE is projected to be built. A new LA-Z-BOY and a WAHLBURGERS location is locating right across the street, adding to the excitement that has brought brands like PRIMANTI BROS, FAMOUS DAVE'S, PANERA and many others together along Eureka Way! Taylor is a great place to live and work, or just visit. We are "Taylor-made" for you. Our community not only boasts comfortable neighborhoods, but also outstanding golf, parks and recreation and outstanding educational opportunities. This combination allows Taylor's residents and/or visitors to live, work, shop and play, within a convenient 24 square miles. Welcome again to Explore Taylor, and enjoy yourself in our beautifulcommunity.
