EROCKONLINE.COM > PACE BEND CLIMBING If your friends are first time climbers as you say, DWS may not be the best choice. The reason is, the climbs that would be easy enough for them to get up, are generally not climbs that offer the safer falls, because of their low angle. EROCKONLINE.COM > PECOS RIVER CLIFFS Because of a post on FB I went back to check for some images of the Pecos River Cliffs on Google maps. Checking the street view, I noticed that the old campground that was just southwest of the bridge is now aTXDOT picnic area.
EROCKONLINE.COM > HOWDY TEXANS Good morning Texas, I just moved to San Antonio about about a month ago and need to get back out on the rock. I dont yet have scheduled employment so Im especially able to climb during the week - I'd be happy to hit up Erock, Reimers, or some of the local stuff around SanAntonio.
EROCKONLINE.COM > RRCC, CTM POLICY ON CHIPPING, GLUING ETC I am of the opinion that if a hold breaks, leave it gone. Limestone breaks all the time, and if the piece that broke is your critical hold, then either get stronger, find another way, or retire yourself from the route and let it sit and rot until someone who can do itcomes along.

Resolution is a suprisingly complex issue. The optimal resolution for a grading scale is actually dependent on the type of climb being graded; the YDS (and equivalent systems like Hueco or Font) works perfectly for certain types of routes (mostly for longer face routes with complex and varied moves, actually). EROCKONLINE.COM > PACE BEND CLIMBING I like Maugham cove , on the south side. Easy parking. Good jump in point above the climbs. Easy climb out by a tree on the south side. Don't climb any further south than the tree and even then, be mindful of the fall potential. EROCKONLINE.COM > NORTH FACE OF NORTH TWIN For me the North Face of North Twin all revolves around George. EROCKONLINE.COM > CAMP EAGLE CLIMBING COMPETITION Hey everybody, Camp Eagle is hosting a climbing competition and Adopt-A-Crag Here's the scoop:-The date is December 5-7-Saturday is going to be a friendly, laid-back competition format, complete with prizes and an AWESOME T-Shirt.
