IMBALANCE PRICING
Imbalance Pricing. The Imbalance Price is used to settle energy imbalance volumes. At the end of a Settlement Period, BSC Systems compare a Party’s contracted (traded) volume with the metered volume of energy used in the Settlement Period. If a Party is in imbalance of its contracted volume, then it will be subject to imbalance charges. ARCHITECTURE WORKING GROUP (AWG) Architecture Working Group (AWG) The AWG is one of three industry working groups which Elexon is chairing and providing with technical leadership to support Ofgem’s Significant Code Review on Electricity Settlement Reform. The other two groups are: Design Working Group (DWG); and the Code Change and Development Group (CCDG). MAINTAINING CREDIT COVER The CAP is a notional pound value of 1 MWh of energy that is used in determining a Party’s Energy Indebtedness and amount of Energy Credit Cover and hence adequacy of Credit Cover. Elexon has produced two dynamic graphs to show the reference CAP and the live CAP. The Credit Committee is responsible for all matters under the BSC thatrelate to
