MULTICOMP PRO SOLDERING IRON: A SHORT REVIEW I recently bought a new soldering iron, a Multicomp Pro from Farnell. It’s an all-in-one temperature controlled soldering iron, which I plan to use for fieldwork and for some simple projects that require soldering, as an alternative to a bulkier soldering station. 4-20MA CURRENT LOOP ARDUINO TUTORIAL PART I: HARDWARE 4-20mA T – transmitter . The transmitter used in this tutorial is the 4-20mA T click board from MikroElektronika, the key element of this click board being the XTR116 current loop transmitter from TexasInstruments.

Today I have on my workbench a brand new air quality monitor: the SMOGGIE for uRADMonitor, manufactured by the Romanian company Magnasci. Initially developed as a radioactivity monitoring network, the uRADMonitor map now offers the possibility of viewing several environmental parameters. At present, the map can show different environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, HYDROGEN SULFIDE SENSING WITH ARDUINO DUE The analog front end is implemented using one LMP91000, a programmable AFE potentiostat designed for use in use in micro-power electrochemical sensing applications. This little thing supports gas sensitivities over a range of 0.5 nA/ppm and up to 9500 nA/ppm. Communication with the microcontroller is done via I2C, plus one analog line for the sensor readings. SPEC DGS SENSORS: NEW FIRMWARE, NEW BEHAVIOR Yesterday I managed to damage the DGS-H2S sensor I used in my projects. No big deal, I dropped in on the floor, and the sensor broke. While I wait for a replacement sensor to arrive, I tried to work with a spare one, a new sensor that I plan to put into apermanent location.
ARDUINO: MEASURING PM2.5 AND PM10 WITH HONEYWELL … An essential aspect of measuring air quality is to determine the number of small particles. That is, things smaller than 10µm and 2.5µm. Such tiny particles are roughly the size of a microbe and can penetrate the lungs, causing many health issues.
