UPDATED GPU REQUIREMENT FOR EINSTEIN NVIDIA: - Requires Compute Capability 1.3 and Above. - For the GeForce 2xx series, this is the GTX 260 and above. - Any Fermi based (GeForce GTX 4xx or 5xx) should support doubles. - Any older GPUs (such as a GeForce 8xxx or 9xxx) will not work. AMD/ATI: - The oldest GPUs that work are the ATI HD Radeon 38x0 series. GETTING AN AMD APU TO WORK WITH UBUNTU 20.04 Yes, it is running a Gamma Ray task as I type. For example, the GTX 960 has 2308/72.1 GFlOPS single/dual precision performance, while the HD 7870 has 2560/160 GFLOPS, and would seem to be the better card. FASTEST GPU FOR EINSTEIN@HOME Hello, I have multiple high end GPUs to keep me toasty during the winter and I would like to know what the bottleneck in these WUs are. In GPUGrid, my other main project, pcie bandwidth and CPU freq are actually the bottleneck for the GPU because of how CPU dependent the software is unfortunately. GETTING NO GPU TASKS FELIX_M_ The system in question seems to be a Windows 10 one running with the Creators Update. When I had a system get the Creator's update, I lost the ability to run Einstein GPU tasks until I hand-installed a driver.
