CHILD AND ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a federally funded program that provides meal reimbursement to child care centers, adult day care centers, emergency shelters, before and afterschool programs, and child development homes. IOWA WILL RECEIVE NEARLY $775 MILLION IN NEW ROUND OF DES MOINES — The Iowa Department of Education today announced that the state is slated to receive nearly $775 million in federal relief for Pre-K-12 schools through a fund to address costs incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The amount is Iowa’s share of the more than $122.7 billion in a third round of emergency relief provided in the American Rescue Plan Elementary and BUDGETS, SCHOOL DISTRICTS Taxes may be levied by such publicly operated agencies for school purposes.
