TARGETED INTENSIVE TUTORING Targeted intensive tutoring, often referred to as high-dosage tutoring, consists of having the same tutor to work over an extended period of time (e.g., all year, every school day) on academic skills, such as math or reading. In the most effective versions, an individual tutor works with one or two students at a time, using a skill-building EXTRAORDINARY DISTRICTS: ORDINARY SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT EXTRAordinary Districts in Extraordinary TIMES. THE BIDEN-HARRIS ADMINISTRATION’S EDUCATION AGENDA TAKES As the Biden-Harris administration develops and publicizes their policy objectives, advocates and policymakers are beginning to see what specific priorities they have for America’s public education system. As a result, students will have significant unfinished learning – lessons that students missed or didn’t master during COVID-19 – because of school closures and distance learning . This is especially true for Black, Latino, and Native students and students from low-income TEACHER DIVERSITY & EQUITY POLICY SCAN Increasing the racial and cultural diversity of the teacher workforce takes a statewide commitment to collecting and analyzing educator workforce data and leading targeted, data-informed efforts to develop policies that recruit, support, and retain a high-quality and diverse educator workforce. This 50-state data and policy scan is designed to TARGETED INTENSIVE TUTORING Targeted intensive tutoring, often referred to as high-dosage tutoring, consists of having the same tutor to work over an extended period of time (e.g., all year, every school day) on academic skills, such as math or reading.
