The Miraculous Instas are a blessing and I can’t believe we got a positive-sounding hint at Felix! I’m not letting my guard down too much but maybe he won’t be a disaster character after all! It doesn’t quite line up with Chloé apparently being Adrien’s _only friend ever_ before he came to school but we’d be FOOLS to complain. Felix might take it a little hard though.

and to be honest i didn't really enjoy season 4 so i was starting to fall out of love a bit

season 3 is my favourite and i LOVE the blend empire arc with the twisted dynamic between 10k and murphy

but S4 kinda just abandoned that and didn't really know where it wanted to go; at least in my opinion

but i weathered that and now i'm on to season 5 i'm having a MUCH better time; it's really picked up again and doubled the weirdness

CZ and kaya are fantastic and i LOVE that they've joined up with the main group finally in pacifica

and 10k's most prominent new trait is putting weird things in his mouth before anyone can stop him

the z biscuit; the finger drink; now the medical alcohol; there's always someone MOMENTS away from stopping him but not quite

i do miss sarge with all my heart and soul tho; i don't feel like red is as compelling a character as they want her to be :/

I haven’t drawn Skut since this ridiculous thing from like four years ago, and I don’t know why because I love him. He’s such a weird and elusive character in Tintin lore, and past being loyal to Tintin and Haddock for saving his life he never really seems to understand what’s going on. He’s fantastic.

but WHAT was the writing! marinette just snatches the ring away from plagg when in FIVE SECONDS he could have explained where tikki was?

and spends the entire battle (the entire EPISODE actually; the opening scene as well) just being really nasty to chat noir/adribug?

she HIT him!!! and i know these kids are indestructible so it wouldn't have hurt but she actually HIT adribug TWICE with no provocation!

,

and he even told her to stop making fun of him and she just kept on with it in a really nasty unmarinette-like way!

,

and then her final takeaway from the miraculous swap is just that she

liked her costume?!

,

NOTHING about how she appreciated how tough chat noir's powers were

,

none of the usual mutual respect which comes from this prince-and-the-pauper storyline; NOPE SHE'S JUST THE BEST AND HE SUCKS

,

and this isn't even a complaint against marinette specifically because i KNOW she's not like that; she's better than that!

it's just absolutely horrible writing which scraped together an excuse to have her just be mean to her teammate the entire episode!!!

my one positive takeaway is that adrien could use her lucky charm better than she could

i don't care if that was supposed to just be a coincidence; i'm interpreting it as him being better with the ladybug's power move than

ALSO adribug was absolutely adorable and that's good enough in itself
