THE ABOLITIONISTS: THE ABOLITION OF SLAVERY PROJECT Olaudah Equiano, was a former enslaved African, seaman and merchant who wrote an autobiography depicting the horrors of slavery and lobbied Parliament for its abolition. One black antislavery campaigner, who worked alongside Equiano, was Ottobah Cugoano. He was born in 1757, in the part of Africa now called Ghana. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. Martin Luther King was born the 15th January 1929 in the USA. He fought for equality and freedom for all the people of the different races. King is famous for his Speech 'I Have a Dream' . On October 14, 1964, he received the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting against racial inequality. In 1968, King was assassinated on April 4 in Memphis,Tennessee.

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. Martin Luther King was born the 15th January 1929 in the USA. He fought for equality and freedom for all the people of the different races. King is famous for his Speech 'I Have a Dream' . On October 14, 1964, he received the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting against racial inequality.
