Overview The way Dynamo interacts with units will significantly change in 0.8 starting with any pre-release build after DynamoInstall0.8.0.20150312T1814.exe. We hope these changes will make using units more intuitive, both when interacting with Revit and modeling purely in Dynamo. The basic idea is that there are no more units in Dynamo! We think it makes PYTHON TEMPLATES IN DYNAMO 2.0 Python Templates. With Dynamo 2.0 we have the ability to specify a default template (.py extension) to use when opening the python window for the first time. This has been a long-desired request as this expedites the usage of Python within Dynamo.

Sandbox is a simplified Dynamo development environment, and has been around for a while, although many folks don’t know about it. Before we go into what Dynamo Sandbox is, we need to understand what a few WHAT DOES VAR.. MEAN? UNITS IN DYNAMO 0.8

Overview The way Dynamo interacts with units will significantly change in 0.8 starting with any pre-release build after DynamoInstall0.8.0.20150312T1814.exe. We hope these changes will make using units more intuitive, both when interacting with Revit and modeling purely in Dynamo. The basic idea is that there are no more units in Dynamo! We think it makes COMPARING NUMBERS IN DYNAMO Dynamo is built on the DesignScript (DS) language. Graphs are first compiled into DS before they are executed in the DS virtual machine. DesignScript like any other programming language offers its own types, operators, language constructs and a standard library. Out of the number types, DS has support for integer (whole numbers) and double primitive data types (decimal placed numbers), where SPACE PLANNING IN DYNAMO WITH DYNASPACE To augment this process with computational design power, we have been working on an experimental tool for Dynamo that we call DynaSpace. The color range is similar to the Remap Range Node from section 4.2: it remaps a list of numbers into another domain.
