We believe that a good art education should first and foremost teach students the fundamental techniques of how to draw and paint.In contrast to modernist schools that focus on experimentation and expression of the self, our classes are organized around learning to create highly convincing PAINTING FROM THE OLD MASTERS The academic French painter William-Adolphe Bouguereau will be the artist of focus for the Fall 2020 & Spring 2021 trimesters. (The selected artist for this class changes every two trimesters.Copying from the old masters allows for rapid improvements in the student's ability to understand composition, technique, and brush handling, as well as offering insight into how the old masters might FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS At the time of this writing (22 March 2021) we are not open.We have confirmed with the RIVM that as a private vocational school (with classes conducted in a private studio building) we are allowed to organize physical lessons for small groups of students starting in April.
