AFTER 21 MONTHS, CONCERTS IN THE PARK RETURNS After 21 months, Concerts in the Park returns. Blind Owl, a Maryland-based acoustic rock band, opened the 2021 Concerts in the Park series at Dundalk Heritage Park. It was the first concert held in the park since August 2019. It had been nearly 21 months since a concert last took place in Dundalk Heritage Park, a streak that endedon May 6.
A DUNDALK SUMMER TRADITION IS RETURNING THIS YEAR A Dundalk summer tradition is returning this year. Seven bands, one per week, will entertain audiences in Heritage Park from July 12 through Aug. 16. Crowds flock to Dundalk Heritage Park every summer for Concerts in the Park. It was sidelined in 2020 due to the COVID-19pandemic.
VACCINE CLINIC OPENS IN TURNER STATION TO CURB SOCIAL The County is bringing a vaccine clinic to Turner Station every Friday as part of an effort to curb social health disparities for Black and Brown people. In an effort to expand access to the COVID-19 vaccine to underserved communities, primarily communities of color, Baltimore County is bringing vaccine clinics to those communities. NORTH POINT LIBRARY HOSTS 75TH ANNIVERSARY EVENT FOR DUNDALK — On Feb. 29, Dale Grimes, member of the Chesapeake Bay Flag Association and the North American Vexillological Association, hosted a presentation about Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima: 75th Anniversary of the Photograph event, to teach the significance of the flags flown over Iwo Jima, at the North Point Library. ANNUAL SPRING CARNIVAL RETURNING TO OUR LADY OF HOPE/ST The annual Spring Carnival hosted by Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke’s School, located at 8003 North Boundary Rd., is returning to Dundalk this weekend. The carnival begins on April 29 and will run until May 2 for its first weekend. It will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 30. It will open again at 4 p.m. on May 1 and again at 1 p.m. on May 2. A STORY OF HISTORY, FRIENDSHIP AND 'COMMUNITY' Rossi and his wife, Mary Caradi Rossi, were married in St. Helena and had big dreams of moving to New York City. While traveling there, Mary became ill, and the two ended their journey on Kresson Street inBaltimore City.
