DU LIVRE: ADVENTURES AND PLANS: JULY AT A GLANCE I have aspirations of being better in August.I want to read at least 12 books and catch up on all of my reviews. As we speak, I am 3 reviews behind. I just need to find the desire to sit down and read and write those reviews out, I think this is related to being so busy and adulting all of the time. DU LIVRE: FALL IS HERE! SEPTEMBER AT A GLANCE I did end up going to two author events less than a week apart. On Friday, September 23, I went to a Kristen Simmons and Paula Stokes signing which was intimate and fun. That following Tuesday, I dragged my husband to meet Leigh Bardugo and it probably made my year. I DU LIVRE: CELEBRATIONS APLENTY: MAY AT A GLANCE May kicked off with my first ever attendance of BEA. It was a blast and I got to meet some greet people and pick up some interesting books. I did a recap if you're interested in DU LIVRE: IS IT FALL YET? AUGUST AT A GLANCE I feel like I say this every month but August was a blur. Seriously. I hopped a plane to Washington, D.C. on July 31 to go co-lead a 40-person conference for the week and I'm still exhausted from it. DU LIVRE: NEW CITIES AND NEW CHALLENGES: JUNE AT A GLANCE Late June marked ALA Annual and boy oh boy, that is one exhausting week. I arrived on a Thursday which was pretty chill because nothing was really happening except setting up so I had some time to walk around and get used to the (humid) weather and layout. DU LIVRE: REST AND RELAXATION: NOVEMBER AT A GLANCE November is a busy month only in terms of birthdays. It's my birth father's birthday, my grandma's birthday, and my mom's birthday. My mom had a post-oral cancer procedure to open her throat a bit more so she celebrated by having her first taco in over a year. DU LIVRE: WEEKLY WRAP UP: OCTOBER 12-18, 2014 In much happier news, I have an interview for an internship tomorrow so cross your fingers that I get it! I'm getting my master's degree inteaching this
DU LIVRE: WEEKLY WRAP UP: FEBRUARY 1-FEBRUARY 7, 2015 Yeah, I can't contain my excitement. I'm watching Disney vlogs as I type. I told my dad our plans at my Great Grandma's 99th birthday party (btw, her cake her 99 candles), and his reaction was "weren't you guys just there?" DU LIVRE: TRAVELS AND RECONNECTING: JANUARY AT A GLANCE January was a long and confusing month. The weather ranged from 50 degrees (F) to -50 degrees (F) and worked consumed most of my mind. Luckily, I was able to squeeze some time for friends (and books)! DU LIVRE: BEING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE: APRIL 2019 I did soo many things in April! In early April, I attended the first ever Kisscon: A Weekend Affair in Chicago and it was amazing! I hope the Avon team opts to do it again (and in Chicago). April was also National Library Week which was a fun celebration, right before Ijumped on a

DU LIVRE: FAMILY AND CHANGES: JANUARY AT A GLANCE Sigh. My January was such a fucking mess, I can't even begin to explain. In mid December, my mother was diagnosed with oral cancer which, understandably, rocked my world. DU LIVRE: FALL IS HERE! DU LIVRE: NEW STORIES WITH FAMILIAR CHARACTERS: IN The other difficult thing was introducing new gods and stories and making sure they didn’t contradict the old gods and stories from The Last Namsara.I hadn’t intended to keep the stories-between-chapters format, since Asha is the storyteller, not Roa, and it didn’t make as much sense for Roa’s book. DU LIVRE: SOME EARLY SPRING CLEANING AND A LOT OF READING Despite being super short, February lasted 3 years. Work was super busy. Ever since MW, I've felt like Annual was two weeks away and I amnot prepared.
DU LIVRE: NEW ADVENTURES AND FAR-OFF PLACES: FEBRUARY AT A I sucked when it came to reading and blogging.I was doing pretty well the first week of February, but then everything went to hell. I had to go on a 10-day hiatus because I couldn't bring myself to schedule posts for my time overseas, and then I got super sick and couldn't even bring myself to look at a DU LIVRE: BEHIND THE SCREEN: A BOOK BLOGGER TAG My setup is definitely not "aesthetics" as the cool kids say. I write out my week's blog posts Sunday afternoon (hello from the past) and typically while watching SNL or while watching my husband play some dumb game (right now is the latter) with two cats trying to get on mylaptop.
DU LIVRE: VACATION DAYS AND SUMMER RAYS: AUGUST AT A GLANCE And lastly, Matt and I drove up to Saugatuck, Michigan (which is about a three-hour drive from Chicago) which was a lot of fun. Matt used to go to a Christian camp up there and the property was sold to a real estate developer about 8 years ago. DU LIVRE: BOOKS TO READ TO GET YOU IN THE HALLOWEEN SPIRIT Halloween is my favorite holiday, you get tons of chocolate, get to dressed up, and of course, read all of the horror/mystery books thatyou can devour.
DU LIVRE: HEARTBREAK: JULY 2019 AT A GLANCE Pregnancy has been okay. I'm an anxious person and this pregnancy just makes it worse. Every other day I think I've lost my baby (based on nothing but my paranoia) DU LIVRE: FALL IS HERE! SEPTEMBER AT A GLANCE I did end up going to two author events less than a week apart. I partly blame it on ACOMAF which gave me a ginormous book hangover, but we were also moving in by July 1. DU LIVRE: PRESENTS AND CHAMPAGNE: DECEMBER AT A GLANCE I worked a lot on my 2016 Blogger Aspirations. In general, I'm happy with my blog, I still feel like it's mine and that I'm blogging for me, but it's easy to fall in the craziness of it all from time totime.

DU LIVRE: WHAT BOOKS MADE YOU A READER? In high school, I devoured romance novels! I actually had a mini #booksfortrade with some other classmates throughout senior year. It was great for me because they were typically shorter books so I still had time to read the lengthy prose of whatever A.P. English threw myway.
DU LIVRE: REVIEW: ESCAPE BY KENYA WRIGHT Holly Jackson continues to amaze with Good Girl, Bad Blood. After the events of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, Pip was ready to turn in her detective cap. I think it's time for me to go on hiatus! I'm writing this blog post on Sunday, January 5 so I have no idea what the future holds, but I'm sure Future Amber is in no shape to be a "good blogger." With I bid you all ado, just for a little bit! I think I'll take a month off so hopefully I'm back by mid-February. Take care of yourselves! Posted by Amber Eliseat 7:00 AM
