SMARTWOOL. Take a great product name and build an identity that leaves an impression. More than a logo, Smartwool needed a brand language that could communicate a lot—with few resources and in a highly cluttered market. The new identity speaks to the product’s high-quality merino wool fabrication and the company’s down-to-earthcharacter.

Located at the intersection of River Road and Roberts, just south of the Kwik Trip in Sparta, Wisconsin, the finest acoustic wood guitars in the world are being made. Embroidery Library offers the embroiderer over 100,000 amazing designs, tutorials, inspiration and access to an alternative collection—a sister brand/website—Urban Threads. A curator before curating was cool, Embroidery Library realized their brands and their sites had become outdated and difficult to navigate. It was time torevitalize.

We wanted to be sure to communicate that they had invested in the good of the community in which they lived, that this was their backyard too. Our mantra: Be local, talk local and host the local. The opening of Good Chemistry’s retail store was the perfect forum for curating a knowledge-based experience. A branding system was created that would be used by the country, many individual islands, and numerous private and public sector entities. Embroidery Library offers the embroiderer over 100,000 amazing designs, tutorials, inspiration and access to an alternative collection—a sister brand/website—Urban Threads. A curator before curating was cool, Embroidery Library realized their brands and their sites had become outdated and difficult to navigate. It was time torevitalize.
