Light Trace (2016) Co-creations with plants encountered in green alleys in Montréal. A year-long research residency to explore forms of listening to place.LISTENING WALKS
The walk included walking to seven listening locations where participants listened to the artists insights, reflected on these ideas and then discussed their reactions with the group. Link to project: Field 2_ Critical Space research residency project, DARE-DARE. The audio files can now be listened to on Walking With :www.walkingwith.ca.
BRING YOUR OWN CHOPSTICKS "Chopsticks add to a plague of regional deforestation. According to a 2008 United Nations report, 10,800 square miles of Asian forest are disappearing each year, a trend that must be arrested to fight climate change, given the vital role trees play in absorbing carbon dioxide.Activists argue that the disposable chopstick habit could gradually be phased out on an individual basis.INSPIRE ART
Inspire Art (2009-2019) was a webzine I created and curated to increase awareness about community and activist art initiatives in Montreal - and the surrounding region. I was interested in generating discussion about how creative expression was being fostered in the region to build healthy communities, share our stories, and manifest our visions for social and environmental justice.
