In the 70s and 80s, the district fell into a state of decline, but today, its potential has been rediscovered by a new breed of driven locals who have jump-started revitalization and restoration efforts. Opened in 1974, the tunnel system is about one mile long and covers more than 20 square blocks. We hope to celebrate pride all along the “Mother Road”. The OKC Pride Alliance Parade will be at 10am on Saturday, June 26th in downtown Oklahoma City, and The Tulsa Pride Parade will be at 6pm in the Art Deco/East Village in downtown Tulsa. Dubbed “Film Row,” it was home to notable film companies like Paramount Pictures, MGM, Universal, Fox and Warner Brothers. Today, the district breathes life again, thanks to the efforts of forward-thinking civicpioneers.
